Location Scouting

This week, Carsten and I went scouting for the perfect location for the upcoming Autumn/Winter ’18 shoot. The shooting is in January, on the 4th to be exact, but the preparations have already started and we’re already well underway (at least compared to previous seasons)… The theme of the campaign and layout of the magazine have been set, the calendars of the people involved have all been cleared and coordinated (a task that’s as hard as it may sound due to the growing amount of people present that day), we’ve searched for model and…this Friday we went to tick probably the most important bullet (and cause of serious unavoidable headaches) off our list —> where to shoot the damn thing?!

It’s getting harder and harder to find that outstanding picture perfect place with a story and framework able to surpass our latest work — but, as stubborn as we are, we never stop looking until we’ve found it and our gut feeling tells us that this will be even better than the last time…

I can’t tell you where we’re going to shoot just yet (and YES, it’s finalised and no longer part of our to-do! #yaaay), but I can show you another hidden gem located right here in downtown Copenhagen next door to Tivoli, the main train station, main shopping street and town square.

If you have a couple of hours to spare, whether you’re an art enthusiast or not (I’m most certainly not, but I still really enjoyed being there), you should definitely go see Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek — an art museum built around the personal collection of Carl Jacobsen (1842–1914), the son of the founder of Carlsberg Breweries who was quite the collector I must say…
